Well I made it. It's was an epic tale in some good ways and some bad ... But ultimately will go down as extremely memorable. The TR will have to wait as we still dont have phone/cable/internet.
Since this is the Plattekill conditions thread, I'll at least do that. Six inches from Thursday and twelve from last night, with some windload under the double chair, which started to spin at ten. Was very cool to ride NY's first chair of the season. (Believe me Laz was all over it and felt the $500 in electricity was worth grabbing the honor even though there were only 15 skiers on the hill.)
Headwalls were extremely difficult for me and I took.some.spills trying to turn. Ml242, Fuje, and Njfreeskier skied with incredible finesse. They looked like they were skiing on much deeper snow.
Below the headwalls and the blue trails were hard work due to the windloading but very skiable. It was heaven to be back on skis.
Fuje and ml242 skied with real cameras and I think we got some sweet shots with some boulder hucks and spraying powder.
When I get some access to the interwebz, I'll post for real.
