Ski Day 14:  If you want to get first tracking in the Cats and you live in the flatlands you gotta get up pretty damn early.  I did it and arrived at Plattekill around 8:15. It was Diamond Day and I didn't want to be late.

X and I had breakfast, booted up and "got in line"...

Hey Buster

We ripped around for a while killin time until the city folk arrived...

Eventually they showed...

...and ripped...

We skied all morning and then took our break at 11:30 which was a schedule Diamond Day "meetup" in the bar.

I like it when peeps pull out their mandolins

Heading back out after lunch

There was a break in the snow

...just in time for the big race...

It was extra way cool when Lemmycaution show up after noon and it started snowing again...

... by 2:30 it was really coming down...

Race Awards

...one last run...

Somehow Plattekill is always a good time.  It's just a great place to spend time.

Cornhead
Thanks for the stoke guys, eagerly anticipating my first "Powder Daize". It shouldn't be a problem blowing off work, sadly I haven't had to miss any work days to ski fresh snow the last couple seasons. The rare times I might have, I was already out of town skiing.
