Plattekill - Sat. 3/12/16 - St. Platty's Day

Fantastic day of skiing. Cornhead and I skied Plattekill today, Sat. 3/12. Warm. sunny, clear, bluebird day. Excellent spring conditions. It was passholders day - if you had a seasons pass from another ski area you got 1 free lift ticket. It was their St. Platty's Day celebration. They had large plates of Corned Beef and Ham with all the fixings for $12.

They plan on running the double for skiing next weekend and the triple for biking.


"ONE MORE WEEKEND!!!  That's the plan...to feature ONE MORE weekend of skis and boards...and ADD BIKES too!  We plan to run the tripe chair side for MOUNTAIN BIKING, and the double chair for EXPERT ONLY SKIIING & RIDING.  The bike trail crew was out all this past weekend working on clearing bike trails...and the SNOW is holding up real well on Northface Trails...So, the plan is to open the mountain for ALL ENTHUSIASTS to enjoy for the upcoming weekend!  $35 TICKETS for skiers/boarders/bikers!!!  Stay tuned for more details...Hope to see you here!!!"
