After a rocky start due to the weather, very good packed powder conditions at one of the ski areas I regard as home base. The snow was surprisingly fast, nearly "hero snow" conditions, given the high temperature of around 10 degrees F. Great conditions to ski big.
There were a couple of patches of grass here and there. On Danish Delight at the top of Prospect, there were 5 exposed rocks that are easily avoided by those who pay attention. It was fine to bring out good boards.
Steve groomed a couple of the old alpine trails and left others in pristine powder condition. In addition to people skiing xc, people were taking tele skis etc up the Mountain Trail to ski down the alpine stuff.
