Ski House Rental - North River - paid deposit

midwestblues
We just paid the deposit for our 1st seasonal house rental at Gore for the 2016/2017 ski season.  Way more money then I wanted to spend but we can bring along our dogs.  Saves a ton of hassle finding a dog sitter or dropping off at a kennel.

Hopefully this season will not be a repeat of last year.  Hoping for a major snow comeback.  Looking forward to the first 25 plus day season since the kids were young.

Already praying for cold weather and heavy snow!

Welcome to town MWB.

On the bright? side, even a bad year would be better than last year.

I have been having my doubts about next winter up until this weekend. It looked like we were going to have a hot dry summer which usually does not bode well for a cold snowy winter but since Friday it has turned cool and now it is wet. Let's see what the acorn crop looks like in the fall, I have not looked up in the trees yet to see if the oaks are full but that will sure be a good sign. Will also need to see what kind of coat the Maine Coon developes this fall.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Ready for voodoo . Fully paid house rental equals terrible winter weather. My black walnuts are dropping already. Usually means a cold winter, but last season, an early, abundant dropping lead to the worst winter ever. I'm about to drop money on season pass and ski equipment. Can't help myself. Anyone else jinxing upcoming season?

I'm in.  No pass for Zelda this year after two years where she didn't break even. Is that a jinx or the opposite?

Just don't buy a snow blower or sled. Some ass hole on this forum bought a big snow blower last fall and look what he did. I could kill the fucker.
