A different kind of Snowbird day for me today.
Out in SLC for a business meeting and then went skiing with some co workers. I tried to talk them into Snowbasin as some are low intermediates and a front was coming thru so visability would suck. I was right on both counts.
Spent a chunk morning teaching a co worker so he wouldn't kill himself. It was enlightening for my co workers to see a the coach side of me. Another co worker got altitude sick.
The vis totally sucked above 10k feet. We tried one run on the back side and it was one of the worst whiteouts I've ever been in.
Spent lots of time in the trees from Gad over to the boundary which has some really nice skiing that I haven't skied before.
They need snow and the bumps are getting cliffed out in the higher traffic areas. The surface was pretty nice sort of creamy.
