A different kind of Snowbird day for me today.

Out in SLC for a business meeting and then went skiing with some co workers.  I tried to talk them into Snowbasin as some are low intermediates and a front was coming thru so visability would suck.  I was right on both counts.

Spent a chunk morning teaching a co worker so he wouldn't kill himself.  It was enlightening for my co workers to see a the coach side of me.  Another co worker got altitude sick.

The vis totally sucked above 10k feet.  We tried one run on the back side and it was one of the worst whiteouts I've ever been in.

Spent lots of time in the trees from Gad over to the boundary which has some really nice skiing that I haven't skied before.

They need snow and the bumps are getting cliffed out in the higher traffic areas.  The surface was pretty nice sort of creamy.

That Tamaflu is amazing stuff.  On Wednesday I doubted I would be able to ski.

I was also pushing for Snowbasin as it would be easier to breath with my congested lungs.  Forescast says cloudy in the Cootonwoods and sunny up north tommorow.  Only a couple inches overnight so I think I'm going to Snowbasin tomorrow.

Thanks, this is timely. I have a conference out there in two weeks, I currently have a few extra days tacked on but the reports have not been good so I have been debating cutting it short and coming home where the BC is getting real nice. A good honest report will help in my assessment even though things can change dramatically in two weeks.

To add the base is pretty decent.  Skied most of the day in the lower altitude trees and didn't hut any rocks.

I'd ask TBatt for jus take before you need to make a decision

Tbatt is always a good source. I do have some other boots on the ground out there to ask as well.
