They’ve been experimenting with making a huge pile when temps are right in February or March, then covering it with mulch to see how long it will last. I believe it is a project with some UVM science research department. They have provided snow for a small sledding and skiing event during the town’s July 4th party for a few years.
They are about to uncover it and spread it around.
