Weather and snow pack has been perfect for fat biking and shit for skiing.

Never ridden them in snow, but on regular dirt.  Not really as fun as a regular bike IMO - they feel heavy and disconnected from the trail.  But at the same time they do have a ton of grip and inertia, which seems like it might be fun in the snow.
