... But they do have mine! Thanks for the tip. H&B on the way. I hope I didn't make a mistake getting these for Gore skiing though.
|
Why do you think they might be a mistake for Gore?

I'm just thinking that they may not perform well on our icier days.
BTW, I must really thank to OP for starting this post. I received an email from Start Haus informing me that they ran out of the 2013 Hell and Backs after I had ordered them. But they are sending me the 2014 model at no extra charge. |
They'll be ok on icey days. IMO the best 1 quiver ski (if there is such a thing) Nordica makes is the Steadfast. Same layup as the H&B, but narrower tip to tail. They hold the best edge I've ever skied on a ski without metal. That’s freakin amazing to me that they’re selling you a 2014 H&B for $299. They must have very low overhead. That is a great price.

Golly, wish they were out of the Patrons when I ordered good for you |
Thanks Camp. My daughter is really excited about her Nordica Dead Moneys which are on the way as well. Great deals at Start Haus.

Seems like the Start Haus guy should contact us about some kind of advertising deal.
Or maybe X should get a commission. Or somethin.

hell & back's on their way

My Patrons came in as promised, couldn't be happier w/ them. If there's a blemish I certainly couldn't find it. To be honest they make me dizzy just looking at them, so I really didn't look all that hard.
Got a sweet sticker too I dig stickers |
Does anyone know about the Paco?

Twin Tip Early rise rocker tip and tail Traditional camber in between (Camrock) 124-87-114 All wood core - No metal New model last year marketed under the Freeski category This ski is discontinued for the 2013/2014 in Nordica’s lineup I have never skied it. I’ve read and watched some positive reviews. Although one review said it was soft and playful and another said it was stiff. Sorry…that’s all I’ve got.

Thank you Start Haus! Hell and Back and Dead Moneys have arrived. Found one meaningless scratch on the DM's. One dimple on the H&B's. As I said before, they sent me the current model since they ran out of the 2013's after I had ordered. I highly recommend that NYS Ski bloggers consider buying from them!

The El Paco is like a skinnier Soul Rider, with what I'd call medium flex in the mid-body, with a softer tip and tail. Flatten the ski out under weight and the tip and tail get a fairly long, low-rise rocker profile. Definitely a playful, fun ski with a good amount of pop and energy, not a hard-charger in any sense.
Hope that helps.
