Storm Speculation: 3/22/14

I to had a great powder day at Mountain Creek when it snowed over 2 feet. On a Thursday. I skiied the hill a thousands times that was best day ever at the hill. Hopefully this next storm delivers some white stuff in Vermont I need to make it MRV this season.

The local weather peeps are calling for 2-5 for southern daks tonight. Weather advisory says 3-6 possible. If it stays cold and doesn't mix it could be a really nice day tomorrow. Possibly bigger than the "storm" on Saturday.

What do the NYSKIBLOG weather gods think?

I think March 2014 is rocking and will continue to rock!  clear the calendars for mid week next week!  

Few inches tonight and saturday..then cold for ever..nothing significant on the horizon..

You think if the potential storm midweek next week does develop it will get pushed south like 2 of the last 3?

Both the euro and gfs have it way off the coast..still many days away.. a lot can happen between now and then...

It r*ined so hard tonight at Creek that they closed the whole mountain 2 hours early.  I think we are done getting the right kind of precip now.  However, someone said that they are trying to make it to 4/13 which would be their latest close ever.

Not sure where you're getting that, the Euro, Canuck, and UKIE models all depict a pretty nice northeastern snowstorm for next week.

But yes, the US government model is, as usual, clueless and showing an OTS off the coast of Georgia or so.
