What are you trying to ski everywhere in NY?  We always get Swain deals but, I've never got a chance to use them.  Seems if I goto WNY it's either Bristol or Holiday Valley.  But, hopefully will get out there one of these years.  How does it compare to those two?

What's New at Swain For 2016:

Hopefully mother nature will change her attitude and give us some temperatures we can deal with in the very near future.  In the meantime, here are some improvements we have made and can't wait to show you for the upcoming season:

NEW TRAIL - Say hello to Outlaw, a new black diamond trail made out of one of our mountain biking paths.  Outlaw is situated between Maverick and Lower Twister.

MORE GLADES - We've added 2 new glades, Shakey's Trees (above Dozey Doe) & Hidden Shadows (below Dozey Doe).

NEW TRAIL MAP -  Northpole Design developed an amazing NEW trail map for us over the summer that should help you navigate the mountain more easily.  Check it out HERE!

Mountainside Renovations - We spent the summer renovating several of our overnight accommodations, and we look forward to having you as our guest.  Reservations can now be made online at swain.com.

Graded -  We've regraded several different areas around Upper Brewer, Upper Robinson, and Lower Round Top to make for smoother skiing and boarding.

Moved the CLC -  The Children's Learning Center has a new home!  We've moved it to the base of the Magic Carpet Lift.  No more long walks across the bottom of the mountain during breaks, which will allow your children to get way more runs in during their lessons.

Slopeside Development -  The Slopeside Development is situated on the west side of the mountain nestled against our future trail system. For more information contact William Benson, Benson Realty - (585) 658-5478 wdbenson@frontiernet.net.

Weather Bug - WHEC and Swain Resort have teamed up to bring you the WeatherBug this season.  A picturesque view of Swain will be just a click away.

New Website - We are weeks away from rolling out a new look online.

7 Degrees is a Wonderful Thing!

We were able to pound the trails with snow the last several nights thanks to a fantastic dip in temps, and we will open tomorrow, January 7th, at 1:00pm.  We'll start the day off with at least 5 trails with 6 more to follow as the weekend progresses.

Open trails will include: Wheels, Round Top, Lower Robinson, Upper Robinson, & Magic Mountain.  Between Thursday and Sunday we hope to add Pines, Old Main, Upper Brewer, Lower Brewer, Fools Gold & The Pass

We are scheduled to have Quad 1, Quad 2, and the Magic Carpet open from Thursday to Sunday.

Thursday 1:00pm 9:00pm $25
Friday 1:00pm 9:00pm $25
Saturday 9:00am 9:00pm $35
Sunday 9:00am 9:00pm $35

Regular hours and prices begin Monday.

Apparently Swain has been open.  Didn't really follow it.  Website says they are shooting to open this Friday again.  Looks like just Friday and Saturday hours for now though.

Hope to make it down at least once this season.  That place could use some love.
