As a kid a trip to Watertown was not complete without a trip to the zoo in that park with the cousins, thanks for stirring up some great memories!
The zoo was the reason I ended up in Thompson's Park.  Certainly reminded me of Central Park Zoo in NYC.

After hearing about Buffalo parks by Olmstead, may stop by some day during warm weather when I have more time.  It's one of those cities that I've driven by or though many times but haven't explored.  Like Hartford, CT. ;-)

A Holiday Valley trip will happen for Cisco and myself. We are both pretty flexible with dates. The weekend ticket deal they have had the last few years is for $125 you get from 4-10 on Friday, 8-10 on Saturday and 8 or 9 to10 on Sunday. Holi Mount could be in the cards for us either Thursday or Friday morning. I have been to Holiday Valley twice and I feel it’s skis much bigger than 750’
Combining Holimont and Holiday Valley sounds like a very fun long weekend.  I would only be able to make it the first weekend of Feb, given the way my plans for next season are shaping up.  Not exactly on the way to Boston, but be an interesting detour.  I have a good time exploring less well known ski areas, especially smaller ones that don't take that long to figure out in terms of layout.

My home mountain in VA has 1100' vertical with 825' for the two black trails off the summit lift, but only 70 acres.  Holimont has 135 acres and Holiday Valley has almost 300 acres, both with about 750' vertical.  Plattekill has 1100' vertical and 110 acres.  The big difference is that those small NY ski areas average 180 inches of natural snow, while Massanutten only averages about 25 inches these days.
