The Pineapple Express Slams Mammoth Mtn.

Just saw Mammoth got 13 ft so far and the largest storm is bearing down now. They may end up with 18-20 ft of champange goodness from this. What a blast that would be, so much fun.

i would bet that the mountain is paralyzed. Avi conditions must be off the charts and most of the lifts aren't running.......i also doubt that it's champagne quality..It snowed with temps just at or around freezing aloft...

Yea. Interesting side note, I saw a show on the Sierra's legendary snowfall. The skiers were saying how the Sierras get hit with a wet, cement like snow early season that builds an awesome base. Powder storms then follow.

Would this year's 13 ft plus base builder make for a great year?
