The Titus Mountain Thread

I am surprised to see that, so far, there has been no love for Titus Mountain on HR. It's a long way from where I live (well, so is Jay Peak but that's another story) and I haven't skied there in ages but it is the northernmost ski area in NY, a fun hill and has been operating for 50 years. Their web site has to win the prize for most rustic web site of any NY ski area.

There must be some Malone-area skiers ready to step up and be a champion for Titus!


And you have to love the low-tech but highly useful on-line snow report:

Titus...Steepmomo enjoyed it a lot ... when she was 7. Spent one weekend in a BB in Malone, it believe it was called Kilbur Manor. It was a price that I won at a silent auction for the Canadian Ski Museum. Don't think I ever did a TR for that day.

Great family area. Feels bigger (when you're a kid or skiing with one) than it is.
