The result of freshly sharpened edges....

Skidds

Go figure....on the way to base to end the day.  Manky slush threw me sideways on the easiest trail I skied all day (Upper Valley).  Didn't even fall, but got thrown sideways.  Freshly sharpened edges sliced right through my ski pants and my shin.

Damn I've got hairy legs......time for the nono pro!

As someone who has made a number of trips to the ER, looks like you need a stitch or two.

Or 10 (three internal, seven on the outside).  Amazing how deep a cut you can get on a shin that has no flesh.

OUCH!

I got a huge down-to-the-bone gash on my shin sparring at the dojo. Shins are a problem because there's not a lot of flesh to minimize the damage or capillaries to speed the healing. You'll be fine, but it's gonna be a helluva scar.
