You must have the easiest, most privileged life imaginable.

I do have a good life but it’s not been privileged.  I was the first person in my extended family to get a college degree and then I later I got a MBA

I’ve worked my ass off for my family

Bureaucracy is ineffective and inefficient which leads to higher costs in both govt and business.  I have no patience for this at all.  It’s leads to not my job syndrome vs get it done.

Taxes and govt spending are my biggest concerns in the big picture.  I won’t go any farther to keep it out of the policrap gutter.

My intent was not to malign an entire generation just to vent/rant about a lack of ethics in one individual.  Our young and rising stars, and we do have some, are — hello — young. And we appreciate them.

Interesting perspectives here by many . Remember this :  it is OPINION and like assholes everybody has one  

Like all of you i still enjoy the privelage of working alongside MANY FINE Younger people , who have not been coddled and who by their own initiative have continually unfolded their personal development along this journey called life .

The fact that one has a number assigned to them called chronological age
 does NOT in ANY way denote deification of the status quo or monk like adherence to a set of assumptions.

 BEhavior , not rhetoric SPEAKS legions about( EQ)  emotional intelligence or the ability to adapt and deal .

And truth be told : IQ only gets you in the door , EQ gets you promoted and retained .

Maybe it's nostalgia, but ski forums (along with Facebook, Twitter and other tech platforms) used to be full of younger people connecting with each other. Now it's just old people bitching about young people, playing old music for each other, and complaining about their injuries. It's retirement-community conversation and it's all so boring to me.

I'd read a "Things that impress you" thread over a "things that piss you off" thread any day.

What social media do young people use? Not my 13 year old (snapchat, IG) but 20 somethings?  The 23 yo we fired, one of the reasons was constant use of FB.  Seems like our young geeks use Slack, but that isn't really social media.

The rest of it, I feel kind of busted. I am older than many here for sure.

Start a things that impress you thread, I've got something for it.

First of all, I see it.

Secondly, it might have been my fault that the default meme thread vaporized. I snuck a fairly harmless but funny, partisan meme into my last string. Probably nothing Harv cared about, but I’m sure one of the back channel pearl clutching crybabies accused him of keeping his moderator thumb on the scales.
