Ticks - Powassan virus

PeeTex
Tick season is upon us, be extra careful. Add this to lyme disease , nature will find a way to kill us off eventually.

That sucks. Over in Hartford NY the ticks are wicked bad. A friend there says when he's outside he takes a really hot shower afterward as he thinks it would make any ticks let go and fall off. I wonder if this works. Anybody know ?

Just put all my hiking clothes through the wash to give them some treatment for the year.

Got one about a month ago and then started using geranium oil. Haven't come home with any since.

Coincidence? Maybe, but http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23528036

That sounds way safer than the alternatives.

The family that skis together, stays together.
