Touring in the Catskills

Hello everyone! I'm a long time lurker, and decided to finally join.  I used to ski and tour with ML242, and did some exploration in the Catskills circa 2010.  As life changes, I've been doing less traveling for skiing, and looking to ski more locally. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into any abandoned ski resorts (like Bearpen) or any hiking trails that would be skinable and skiable during the winter.  Thanks.

I’m kind of interested in this topic myself but I have no real touring experience.

Bearpen is a XC area now but it seems like there’s potential for you there.

When I visited Bearpen for that blog piece, a couple people were there to skin up to the summit then come down.
