*General Partners John Meier and Marc Stemerman of Greek Peak Mountain Resort will be speaking at the Triple Cities Ski Club (TCSC) general meeting on Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Brothers 2, Endwell in a large banquet room.

The owners have spent $5.1 million on upgrades and repairs upon acquiring the bankrupt resort a year-and-a-half ago. TCSC skiers and boarders are eager to find out what they're planning for the coming season.

A $10 annual membership in TCSC affords members discounts at area resorts to include Greek Peak, plus gives them access to numerous trips in NY, VT and an annual Western trip--this year to Winter Park, CO. TCSC is a year round social club and a place where even non-skiers go to socialize and eat out together and participate in activities such as camping, biking, hiking, kayaking & canoeing, golfing, dancing, etc. www.triplecitiesskiclub.com

* There's still availability to get in on the Winter Park, CO trip, Feb. 21 - Feb. 28. Seats are going fast. Contact Tim Hanna for details 607-656-7680.

*Warren Miller's NO TURNING BACK film on Thursday, Nov. 20 - Extreme skiing/boarding film held at the Forum in Binghamton gets skiers pumped up for the season. $18 ticket price includes free lift tickets from area resorts. Tickets are on sale now at Berger's Ski & Snowboard Shop in Binghamton. $18 cash or check, $19 for credit card purchase.

*TCSC Annual Ski Sale on Sunday, Nov. 23 at Brothers 2, 2901 Watson Blvd., Endwell

People take their used skis, boards and boots, ski clothing and accesories to sell on a consignment basis. Great opportunity for first-time skiers and families to get their children outfitted.
A number of club members are experienced in helping with boot fitting and ski selection.

Bake Sale at the ski sale: proceeds go to the Greek Peak Adaptive Ski Sports (GPAS) program, which is a weekend program for physically or mentally challenged teens and adults who are interested in learning how to ski. New skiers and those with experience ski with volunteer seasoned skiers who've trained for the program. Participants include those who have lost limbs, are paralyzed, autistic, have Down's Syndrome, & are blind. It's a wonderful program and life changing not only for the participants, but also for the volunteers.
