Tuesday Tornado in North Creek

TWC news just said that a twister touched down in NC Tuesday.

Correct, did some damage around the ski bowl, River road was a mess with downed trees. Whipped out some stuff in the baseball field and went through the cemetery by the Goose Pond B&B. At least that's what the locals tell me. I have not gone that way in a few weeks although I gotta make another trip to the new PC in Warrensburg soon.

My iPhone alerted me that a tornado was coming, but only because I have a cell phone booster in the house. I switched from the Yankees game to the local (Albany) stations and they were in full coverage, but there was no weather alert on any other non-local channels. I started calling friends in North Creek and they were totally unaware that this thing was heading right for us even though they were watching TV.

The tornado warning system for the North Country really needs some work
