Universal Sports Network Gone

I was hugely disappointed to see NBC cancelled their Universal Sports Network channel... It was a favorite of mine to watch all the WC alpine ski events and other Olympic winter sports. Anyone know if any other channels will carry WC ski races on a regular basis?  

NBC only had a minority interest in Universal Sports. The last I read, NBC (or one of their networks) may be picking up some of the sports previously covered on Universal.

Yeah we're pretty bummed about losing Universal Sports as well.

We got the DirecTV sports package for that channel alone--we liked the ski racing, triathlon, bike racing,  marathon coverage, bobsled/luge. Cancelled the package a few days ago.

Universal had great coverage--most of those events were broadcast in full, not just a pared down synopsis version....afraid NBC channel that picks it up will be more of highlight coverage variety.

Just did a search on Direct TV
Looks like the Wolrd Cup is split between ch 220 NBC sports and 569 Universal HD.  I get 220 in my package but not 569 so I'm going to wait to see how many races are on 569 once the meat of the season starts.

They plan to stream too so a Roku might be a good option

Must be a free trial type thing while they build an audience
That gets you ch 569 so you can watch the races
