Was there once for a 3 day conference. Had a friggin blast. Never gambled one red cent, I work too hard for that shit. No need to go back unless it's for more meetings.

Great airport for access to Brice, Zion, GC North Rim and lots of other beautiful places.
Flew in a few years back, got in at 10AM, drove to Hoover Dam, looked around, then went out to the North Rim and did a rim to rim hike hung out a few days and then went back. Had two cheap nights in the Luxor ($60/night), some good food and a lot of people watching and then flew home.

If you don't bet any money you come out as a winner every time going through Vegas.

Been there a few times for work.  It's fun for a day or two then gets old fast.  I will play blackjack for an hour or so but then get bored.  If you follow the script and understand probability theory it has the only decent odds of all the games.  Some good restaurants and world class people watching.

Reno and Tahoe are better as skiing destinations where the cheap casino hotel rooms and buffets make for a better fun guys ski destination.  My brother and I met up in Tahoe awhile back and it was a good time.

My favorite part of Vegas is waking up early and going yogging, interesting to see the place with nobody around except for the folks that keep it shiny while everyone sleeps off the night before.

I agree that it's a place everyone should see.  Take advantage of the shows, restaurants and definitely get out and see the surrounding geography
The day begins...  Your mountain awaits.
