Waiting

Highpeaksdrifter
When I'm home and hear what I think is a UPS truck in the neighborhood I stand by the window. When I pull into my driveway I strain my neck looking to see if anything was left on my front porch. When dinner time rolls around and nothing has come I feel disappointed. When gear I ordered finally arrives I'm all sorts of happy...like a kid at Christmas. When the last of my gear shows up for the season I kinda miss the anticipation. Just sayin.
There's truth that lives
And truth that dies
I don't know which
So never mind - Leonard Cohen

Re: Waiting

Telemark Dave
You and me both.....

Nothing like some self-gifting.   Because I work an hour away from home, I've actually had stuff fedx'd to my office.
Now that is fun.   Makes going to work way mo' better.

Both my wife and my two sons are also avid on-line shoppers, as the crucial "necessaries" (cool made up word courtesy of the late Alan Bard) for their chosen passions often can't be obtained in our local burg.  So the whole family gets all stoked whenever the delivery van shows up at home....kinda reminds me of our cats when you shake the treat bag...
or a shark feeding fenzy.
