When's Winter Start?

So we got back from our 2 weeks down the Jersey Shore and the first thing I did after unpacking the car was inventory the ski gear.  Always the same every year -- it's mid-August and I'm wondering when the snow is gonna start falling.

This year we are renting a condo for the season at the Summit at Gore.  We'll see how the weekly weekend drive from Poughkeepsie works out.  The girls and I are psyched, though.

Winter starts day after Northern zone hunting season ends. Winter til April 1st. Spring April 1 til July 3. Summer Fourth of July til Labor Day. Then Fall. Simple.
