Whiteface 1/7--1/8/12

I'm a whiteface regular and go there pretty much every weekend of the ski season or as the wife allows. :)

This weekend was another good one.  Saturday was warm (too warm for January) and spring like.  Towards the end of the day it was getting a little bumped up and skied out.  Lucid played in the lounge afterwards and put on a nice apres ski show.  Sunday was the better day IMO.  It was cooler and thus a little firm in the morning but got better and better as the day unfolded.  Management opened up Wilderness and Skyward Sunday and it was manomade heaven on those two runs since the guns had been blasting them for days as temps permitted.  Whiteface continues to blast the snow making whenever possible so hopefully this week it'll stay cold so that next weekend even more terrain can open.  We need a nice storm from mother nature to really set the place off.

Nice to hear da Face is shaping up...skiing at GP is getting boring. I can only lap 2-3 trails for so long then I get thirsty

I still have faith that MaNatch has something VERY special in store for us...soon, very soon.

Not sure on the cursing thingE...my guess would be PG13 type atmosphere so used in proper context the B word should be exceptable.

I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time x2 on Sunday!  Caught Wilderness from the 1900 road just as patrol dropped the rope and repeated this good fortunate on Upper Skyward. ManOMade on Wilderness was off the charts!  Sky was great too, especially skiers right on Niagara!!
