Whiteface January 29, 2011

Arrived very close to opening and started with a Gondola ride up Little Whiteface after a few runs we headed for the Face lift then the Summit Lift.  As we waited to get on the Summit Lift it stopped and then didn't start.  We bailed thinking that we would come back.  Back up still not running - oh no.  Eventually after about half hour or so the people on the lift started moving at a slow pace - auxiliary speed?  But they avoided doing a lift evac but no Summit Lift the rest of the afternoon.  They did take some people up on groomer shuttles but the line and time were running out.  Wilmington trial had to be the most scenic with the frosted trees.  We enjoyed skiing the rest of Little Whiteface all day, can't wait to get back!
