Whiteface Mountain, NY: April 20, 2014

snoloco
The rest of my pictures.

Little Whiteface from the parking lot.

About to load gondola.

First ride up.

Lake Champlain from Little Whiteface.

I was getting up there today.

It was so warm that we had to shed layers.  The gondola was a sweat box, so we rode the Facelift next.

Facelift shadow.

I asked the lifties when this would open.

They said it would open in half an hour, so we went to the Little Whiteface Double for a lap.

Another view shot.

We skied Mountain Run next.

To Thruway.

To the Facelift.

Summit Quad wasn't loading, so we took a lap on Boreen to kill time.

It was loading when we got back up.  So we got on and went to the highest lift served peak in the east.

I just love these signs.

We were finally there.

Little Whiteface from the summit.

Another awesome view.

We went to Paron's run which had some walking required.

Back up the Summit Quad again for Skyward.

We decided to make this a top to bottom run since we wanted lunch.

After lunch, it was back up the Facelift where I saw this guy skiing in a speedo.

Then back to the summit again.

The Follies.

Then Skyward again.

Lower Skyward had some nice bumps on it.

We then went down to Little Whiteface and skied Northway.

Then Wilderness.

We ended in style on the summit finishing with a top to bottom run on Paron's.  I just don't know these are ever skiable.

I've lived in New York my entire life.

Skiray
Love that mountain and I wish I was able to get there before the end of this winter.

We skied Jay Peak, the coverage was pretty phenomenal and we even got snow..  Sort of like an annual Haj us going to Jay over Easter. The Alba's will for sure ski the Face next year.

The family that skis together, stays together.
