Whiteface, NY: 4/14/13

I went to WF today (4/14/13) thinking that this will be the last ski day of the season for me. As for most of the time I had to go alone, but I was not unhappy. Driving on 87 and then on 73 started to look promising:





Not a lot of people, but a lot of snow is still on the mountain:

 



It was snowing/sleeting all day, pretty hard at times. Lower mountain had forgettable spring conditions, but upper mountain, skyward, in particular, was great, this time of the year. It was winter up there:







Since WF plans to reopen for next weekend again, I'm not sure that this was the end of season for me.

That looks great, keep the season going!

Yeah man...Skyward was great...so was pretty much everything above mid

I like pictures of winter anytime.

Anyone know... what's the latest Whiteface has ever closed?

I know they made it to the first weekend in May one year, not sure which one, possibly 2001, that was a big snow yr.
