marquette backcountry ski

At $189.00 this ski looks interesting. 140 cm long, 150 mm at the tip & 130 mm in the waist...... add a 3 pin binding and explore the backcountry. They are advertised as 30% snowshoe and 70% ski.

That's a great video.

Looks like the ski was perfect for the "conditions."

Someone who knows VT ski areas could figure out where that was... anybody?

Back to the skis. Telemark Dave and I had quite a discussion about those Marquette skis last winter. Check their site here for more info and videos. They look ideal for our purposes and style of "bush skiing." I seem to recall reading somewhere that they are pretty heavy and I'll bet they don't climb as well as skins but for that kind of 'shwacking, who cares?
