After picking up freinds fron binghamton and sidney, along with a long drive through the always blown over rt.23 two freinds finaly got to see the place I teach at, first glances can be rough, old rundown ski area with a small lodge, first trip up after my group lesson I find they have only been on the powder puff, ya its a nice trail but you guys ski blacks at greek peak, trip down sundown revealed some bumps and a build up of side powder, ok. Its time to move, to the northface trail, easy turns and the ability to throw you self down hill with that feeling, must be powder, the tingling feeling In my face and that feeling of bouncing through the snow, yup........doing laps on northface and the woods trails between overlook and northface, planty of powder left over what a day, worth the frost bite, and the satisfaction of introducing two friends to timeless gem, plattkill, in their words a skiers/ riders mountain, no thrills, all business
