2017/2018 Season Stoke

I know we are all moving in that direction, but let’s make it official.  Let’s get stoked for the coming season.  What are you excited about?  What do you hope to accomplish?  What have you been watching to get your mind, body and soul ready?

This is a great film from Red Bull Media House, looks at the birth of the Freeride movement and the generations that have followed.  Cool to look back on how it all kind of developed, and many of the names we all know and love to watch.

I'm stoked for nordic (gasp!) skiing on our property and connecting with my friends at Gore, Plattekill and Smugglers.  I also want to ski McCauley more.

Seriously though, times have changed, the upper part of that run would be called a "glade" at some places.

One goal is to ski a well known slide in the high peaks...I scoped it out this summer when we hiked it from the Garden Trailhead...

Bennies Root Canal?  Big Slide?

Either way, sign me up!

I think there's some kind of unwritten rule about posting BC routes on forums...even though this one ain't a secret and info to be had online.  But yeh, we should meet up and do it once things fill in.

I remember hiking up to the headwall on Nose Dive well into summer --- that thing would hold snow for a long time

I might be back that way this winter so my daughter can visit my Grandmom. If we can pull it off I’m bringing my skis to get a day in at Plattekill. The way things are shaping up it’s looking like there’s going to be a lot more winter out that way than here.
