"The timing window of the storm would be Tuesday night into Thursday."

"If the storm were to track just right and enough cold air were to enter the storm, accumulating snow could even fall in some inland locations as well as those near the coast."

Latest GFS shows a very strong Nor'easter just east of NJ. This is very bad news.
Looks like a very windy and cold storm..

After the storm passes the pattern changes. Trough out west , ridge over the east.. we turn warmer..
good news is that the pattern is progressive. Cold does return latter in the period. Maybe even snowmaking weather..

I'm flying on a turboprop from Plattsburgh to Boston and coming back Wednesday night. Should I drive instead?

I woke up to see I have a flat tire that is not repairable so driving down on a spare is not an option.  Going to drop my car are the shop in P'burg and get a ride to the airport soI'm going to fly down and I can always drive my rental car back to P'burg.  I've had to do that several times before.

Forecast for Wednesday night here doesn't sound that bad but Boston would not be good

toll road was skiable from the gate on Sunday.  Real sweet above the pumphouse!

I was realllyyy close to heading over to the Toll Road Yesterday morning. Had all my gear, but an awful hangover and my buddy's car about to die made me follow him the other way. rawr.
