Forum Guide: Embed a Video

Go to the page (YouTube, Vimeo etc) where the video lives.

Click the EMBED or SHARE button.

A box will pop up that looks something like this:

Copy that code and paste it into your forum post.

Then use the EMBED VIDEO feature at the top of the post area to add these tags:

<nabble_embed>   {Your Code Here}    </nabble_embed>

...AROUND the code.

IMPORTANT: THE USE THE EMBED CODE - NOT THE URL OF THE YOUTUBE PAGE.

IF that doesn't work try the YouTube embed code WITHOUT the
<nabble_embed>

tags and check the HTML FORMAT box.

About 80% of videos can be embedded with the tags above under "Embed Video." MOST of the the ones that can't can be embedded by removing those tags and checking "Message is in HTML Format" at the top left.

Videos that don't fall into those categories, just can't be embed. At least not yet.

The problem with using HTML format is that you have to add in your own line breaks in HTML, which most people don't understand. That is why the embed tags were built.

Life is never easy huh.
