If they get the bid for the 2026 Olympics (which they most likely won't) it will force them to make snowmaking upgrades, and will force them to focus their efforts on what they were originally designed to be rather than this misguided Intermediate bullshit.

Just speculating but how cool would that be?

I'm heading to Mont Sainte Anne this weekend and they're above the worst of the thaw.  I was going to ski Whiteface tomorrow but I'm not sure it's even worth it.  Probably be back to WROD on Excelsior which would just be too sad to even take part in.

They just spent 28mil and the only skiing upgrade was the Belleayre gondola.  They clearly had enough money to get with the program on snowmaking and chose to spend it on things that won't matter at all in the grand scheme of things.
This convo is for a different post but the last few weekends at belle shows that all the gondola did was bring way too many inexperienced people up to the summit that didn't need to be there.  Thankfully lift 7 still has no lines since casual skiers do not like slow lifts

If you pulled in the 3 ORDA GMs and asked them how they would spend $28M you would get a different answer.  Those decisions are made largely outside of ORDA.

Who is deciding Whiteface has to be a Stratton with a tenth the snowmaking capacity?  Who decided not to resurface a single expert trail all season and most likely give up on the summit in mid Feb?

Sorry I thought you were talking about the 28M.  Yes within budgets those ops calls are GM calls.

GM: Resurfacing yes, Stratton no.

Snow Get a life , there is way more to life than your inane obsession with this shit .

You really come across poorly as a very spoiled little pisspot that wears on people . If you were a contributing member of society instead of a spoiled little brat perhaps people might take you seriously .

Here's an idea Just STFU and ski  and be thankful that you are able  to do it .

The problem is there won't be anything worth skiing at Whiteface after this warmth so I'll have to travel further.  This weekend it's Mont Sainte Anne.  Not sure where I'll be going in the coming weeks.

Sno rate your season to date 1 to 10.  Any good?

I'm at the most lame conference ever.

I will rate the season once it ends, hopefully later rather than sooner.

Lame evasion. Take a stand bro. Obviously it's not the whole season
