1993 called - they want their whining back...
Take off the one piece and join the new world... It's actually very fun... |

Haha. We knew you were coming so we baked a cake.

a whine thread about whining

Whine? hardly...
More of a social observation and reaction. Seem's the last holdouts from the 1990 are here... And they still HATE snowboards... crazy... at least to me... |

I recently read that snowboarding is actually experiencing a pretty big downturn in participation that is attributed to twin tip skis.
I've seen some teens on twin tips riding switch or just being teens being just as much of a safety problem as any boarder on the MT. Maybe we need to ban teen agers altoghether - wait my kid almost is a teen. Never mind! This is an age old issue and we are not going to solve it here. Snow on Friday will make this stuff all go away from the forum.

Shock collars. I'm telling you, it's the easy solution.

What's to solve??? There's only a few anti-snowboard types - and they all seem to be here... |

I'd bet that twin tips are capturing the new, youngsters. And I'm sure there some are former snowboarders taking up skiing. But I think the real downturn in participation is from people who took up the sport between 1993-2000 falling away from the sport. |

Hey, lighten up Joey. There's a lot of skiers who need a shock collar too. C'mon, I'm sure you'd like pushing that button a few times. zzzzzzz.....zzzzzzzzaaaaaappp

Twintips have been out for a while now... Nobody i know is rushing to switch... I want to get back on skis soon.. Just need boots... :) Always blows peoples minds when i get back on skis... I'm actually a good skier... Not such a good telemarker... |

Boards better for spring soft and powder, skis better for most days in the East, places with flats (Gore/Kmart) and old people like me. Seriously, if you haven't grown up skiing, it is much easier and faster to get up to speed on a board as an adult. I'll never forget riding up at Snowmass during a dump with a 90 year old on a board!

For sure Camp...this thread has already been done a hundred times on AZ. The righteous anger, the outrage, the indignation…it’s a very tired subject. I have several friends who are snowboarders, all adults, they have a sense of humor about the rep. I taught high school for a long time and punks are punks. You put a punk on a mountain and it doesn't matter if he's on skis or a board he's still going to act like a punk.

Agree - that's why I called it out.. And I will always... People need to just be more accepting to what people decide to use to make it down a hill on snow... Excluding snowblades of course... :) |
Bwahahahah---right on, what the hell is the pupose of those silly things any_A_ways i mean chicks dig skiers/boarders but snowbladers?????

No - no I would not.. Something like that would never cross my mind.. I simply wait for people to clear out of my way.. Plenty of mountain for everybody... |
