Those crowds look brutal!

Today was our first day out. We got 13 inches but only have one run open. It was stressful, I don’t care for skiing with that many people. Your day looks way sweeter.

I have to say, unless I invited them, skiing with anymore people than myself is stressful.

Thanks, frk, for the fine work. Lower angle woods up high were surprisingly skiable.

Was very peaceful up there. Just as I was leaving, Laszlo did turn on the lift for what looked like his sons (nice perk!). But there's still plenty of untouched snow that needs to be skied before the rain tomorrow night. Somebody here should get after it.

Hunter,Windham and Bell all have there snowmaking running and pumping...looks like crickets at Platt

They were blasting the place Saturday when I was up. Maybe the temp rose too much on Sunday?

There was some talk about a compressor problem, but I don't know details.

The main compressor blew a line and there is some kind of special fluid or synthetic oil it requires that is not cheap.  Lasz and Macker fixed the leak easily enough but the fluid they needed was only available locally at a huge premium (5k). They drove a truck a long way to secure what they needed for much less. It killed about 30 hours of snowmaking, whales were still draining when it came time to open. That's what I was told yesterday, hope I got that mostly right.

He should have 4 days of around the clock snowmaking ..
