Take the Plattekill Challenge.

Here's how it works:

Ski Plattekill and post an awesome, exclusive* Trip Report (TR) in the HR Forum.

Two winners will be selected.

Prize #1 will be awarded to the FIRST TR to be posted.

Prize #2 will be awarded to the BEST TR posted before midnight on January 31, 2011.

Each Prize consists of TWO lift tickets, no restrictions, to be used any day this season.


So... grab a buddy and your camera ....



... and head out to Roxbury, NY to battle the lift lines...



...and take on Plattekill's legendary terrain....



...carve some fresh tracks...



... and write a killer report.

YOU could be sitting pretty with free tickets to the Catskill's old school gem.

Here's the fine print:

• TRs must include at least five photos and 200 words.
• TR must also include a thumbnail photo of Plattekill day ticket from the day skied.
• There is no limit on the number of TRs that can submitted by an applicant.
• TRs must be comprised of images and accounts EXCLUSIVE to Harvey Road (i.e. not posted on any other website).
• The winner's TR (language and photos) will remain the property of Harvey Road.
• Applicant must have a forum avatar.

TR's will be judged by the Harvey Road editorial board. (Jamesdeluxe, Jason, Highpeaksdrifter, Powderqueen and Harvey44).

If the FIRST TR is judged to be the BEST TR submitted, the reporter will win all four tickets.

The deadline on The Plattekill Challenge has been extended until Jan 31, 2011 at midnight.

Just to say, it's snowing here now... So those two days of warm weather seem to be amended.

The deadline has passed and the HR editorial board has determined that of the three submissions, Funky Polak's Plattekill TR from January 15 was the best entry.

Congrats Funky, look for 2 tix in the mail!

Also might be good to tell all NYSKI blog followers that if they 'like' Platte on FB (and another 500 or so people do as well) Platte is going to have a FB day where all the fans get to ski free...
