Went for a retreat over the high-country... rode from my house to Ellensburg via an area called the Collockum wilderness. From Ellensburg went up over Blewet Pass back through the Wenatchee Valley back up to my house. Covered about 150 miles over 2 days, mostly on forest road gravel and double track. Saw tons of Elk and a bit of snow.
Ascending to the Colockum at the end of Day 1
Patchy snow at 5k. I topped out at 5750... There were larger piles in some areas, but completely passable the whole way.
Balsam Root
Cattle are everywhere in the forest this time of year
Wind Farm from camp on Day 2... Rainier in the distance
