It's not core to bail when there's still plenty of skiing left.
I've lived in New York my entire life.

This may be the worst ski season I have ever experienced but with the technological advances we are skiing some pretty decent shit(and I mean that both literally and figuratively). I am looking at my bikes with a little more admiration and may even take a ride this week...but there is no way I am done with winter 15-16. The headwall on Rumor looks like it is waiting for 50 degree weather and so is skiers' left on lies. ...and there is always K-mart. We may not get the slides but Skyward in spring is fun...until it is all gone I will hold hope. That two footer in early April will get me some earned turns and would love to make it to a certain Duck's birthday...Rock's birthday would be even better

Not that it applies directly to killington since they're a bit further south but MRG posted on FB today that they were getting snowed on and hoped to reopen the upper mountain again. The season might last longer then we think

I like that you are trying to be positive but yesterday's snow didn't amount to much. An inch or two are not going to reopen the main mountain. After the warm day on Wednesday and the rain on Thursday, I suspect MRG is going to lose most of its main mountain snow and be down to ice and broken sections. I'll be getting in spring turns somewhere tomorrow so if I can't have more snow, then bring on the spring skiing.

Thinking? Why wouldn't it be? WF isn't going to melt out with a couple days around 50 this week. Same I suspect at Gore. I'm bachelor skiing Fri/Sat. 50 degrees and sunny should make for a great couple of days.
We REALLY need a proper roll eyes emoji!!

This weekend will be awesome on the WF!

I'm sold. A total convert. I was on the teles last spring in those bumps. I'm more worried about having to chase 3 or 4 ex-racers all over Squaw next month for 4 days! D'Oh! ![]()

Jason or anyone.. thinking about killing the heat here in North River for the season. May not be back until third week in April. System can handle dropping below freezing but not extended periods below 20. Any input on the long range is appreciated.

With the LP price as low as it is, I for one, would not take the chance of letting Mother Nature determine the future of your shangrilla latrine
Gotta go to know

I wouldn't kill the heat just yet...There will definitely be nights were the temp will drop into the low 20's in the next 10days..

I left it on. It's not so much the cost of the LP, but he fact that the wood interior gets baked in the heat by the time I get up there to shut it down in late April. Lowest I can set it is 55.
I could be at Gore again. Fingers crossed for that.

This hasn't been a "normal" El Nino at all.
