You'll have to go with us --- there are trail cams set up all over the place and you have to roll right thru the heart of the farm to get in there. There's no asking questions and if your lucky you'll get a warning shot.

Yeah, all kinds.
I was using rubber worm......toss the thing in and the would hit it as it floated to the bottom.

I wouldn’t know if they are still around but we used to crush it with power bait worms.

My favorite top water lures were Smithwicks devils horse or a rapala original floating minnow, size 13. Toss either of out, don’t move it until the ripples die out and then give it one tap and......BAM!

I also loved a good spinner or buzz bait.

If they are a little deeper we would always go with rubber worms or a rattle trap.

The one that got away --- love those stories

5lbs is about the biggest one I've ever caught. I know there are bigger ones in the lakes around here but the ponds we fish those are the max.

The thing about bass is even a little one fights like a bastard

Re: fun things

I've never fished for either one of those ---- don't snakeheads eat bass??

Going to OC MD in Sept ---- booking a fishing trip for a half day. Should be a real hoot. I've never fished the ocean before.

Good advise. I plan to follow it too!

Never being out in the ocean for any length of time it only makes sense.

Keep an eye on the reports. If fish are not being caught don't go. You get skunked and woozy.  You could run out to the shelf and fish for Marlin or Tuna. Both those fish are on me bucket list.

Had a great long weekend. Kicked it off with the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert on friday night. Marshall Tucker Band, .38 Special, Hank Williams Jr. and then Lynyrd Skynyrd. One of the best overall concerts I've been too. They were all great. Hank Williams Jr blew me away with his entertainment value. What a great performer. If you haven't seen him I'd recommend it.
