A ski down Mt. Marcy - 30 March 2011

Nice stuff Mike.  AT gear?  Yesterday was a beautiful day, looked like a great one to be up in the High Peaks.

My name is Meg.  Ski patrol at Hickory.  We met at Marcy Dam lean-to the day we skied Wright Peak Slides.
Great video.  Wish I knew you were going.  I was snowshoeing up Armstrong that day.  Looks like you found the best snow of the day!!!  Heading to the "A" tonight with your friend Anne for opening night. :)

Jeff, yes AT gear........ It was a great day, with very little wind above the tree-line. Just awesome!

Meg, so we meet again at Harvey Road........ small world. It was an awesome day, no-matter what Mt. you were on. Hey, I didn't think east siders were aloud on the west side of LG. Tell Anne I said hi and enjoy the "A" on the best side of LG.

That is awesome footage. And great skiing, by the way. I am not a big fan of POV but in a situation like that it really works. And the fact that you used music by Bruce Cockburn, a fellow Hinterlandian and my number-one guitar hero, makes it that much better.

Sick Bird, Thanks for the kind words. I am a very big fan of Bruce and have most of his CD's (all most typed albums). I appreciate the tour info, it has been over 10yrs since I have seen him.

You should go see him this year. He actually played two shows in our town two years ago, solo performances. I went to both. Mind-blowing. Just as mind-blowing when I saw him way back in the bearded hippie "Sunwheel Dance" days. Anyway, I digress - thread drift!
