Accuweather: Potential Storm 11/6-11/8/12

Accuweather LONGSHOT at this time.

"If the storm develops quickly right along the coast, rain would break out and spread northward over the mid-Atlantic and New England. A slower developing storm would tend to swing out over the ocean and dodge much of the mid-Atlantic but could still reach part of New England."

"The timing window of the storm would be Tuesday night into Thursday."

"If the storm were to track just right and enough cold air were to enter the storm, accumulating snow could even fall in some inland locations as well as those near the coast."

"In the meantime, the chill will stick around into the weekend with bouts of wind."

Latest GFS shows a very strong Nor'easter just east of NJ. This is very bad news.
Looks like a very windy and cold storm..

After the storm passes the pattern changes. Trough out west , ridge over the east.. we turn warmer..
good news is that the pattern is progressive. Cold does return latter in the period. Maybe even snowmaking weather..

I woke up to see I have a flat tire that is not repairable so driving down on a spare is not an option.  Going to drop my car are the shop in P'burg and get a ride to the airport soI'm going to fly down and I can always drive my rental car back to P'burg.  I've had to do that several times before.

Forecast for Wednesday night here doesn't sound that bad but Boston would not be good

Plattsburgh
NNE 6 mph
Gusts: 11 mph
Periods of snow, accumulating 1-3 inches
Hourly foreast does not have the snow starting until 9 pm

Boston
Very windy with rain, heavy at times; coastal flooding can occur
NE 24 mph
Gusts: 34 mph

Friday night headlamp sessions!

But really, this isn't looking great.

NOAA wrote
Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 1pm, then rain likely between 1pm and 4pm, then rain, snow, and sleet likely after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

I was realllyyy close to heading over to the Toll Road Yesterday morning. Had all my gear, but an awful hangover and my buddy's car about to die made me follow him the other way. rawr.

I wasn't responsible last week...especially with my important deadline on Friday. I got ride of margin for error in West Virginia (but yes, it was worth). Once everything calms down I should even have time to finish written that looong TR.

Well, It looks better for snow totals in general.
But the models seem to be showing otherwise
Then again,I don't know what any of that stuff means.

I hate the New York snow-tease that happens this time of year. Great storm comes in and then it's 60+ degrees in the 10-day forecast.

Winter always plays hard-to-get in the NE. I wish she would just put out
