Alba Adventures – Season 5 Ep 4 - Forever Wild

Skiray

With a day to spare, we make way and head to Belleayre.

A premier and close destination to NYC featuring not only impressive ridge line terrain, though Catskill Mountain's only Gondola.

We stop by nearby Pine Hill to visit this NY historic town before partaking in our outdoor fun.

Given it's proximity to NYC, you are sure to run into friends, which we did.

With impressive groomers, beautiful glades and families abound we were sure to have a good time.

Mountain vistas which went on for miles, and woods and wildlife all around, its wonderful to see that this NY mountain will be

Forever Wild..

I have a question for the group.

What do you think of these shorter edits?

IMO as a rule shorter is better (3-4 mins) if the goal is to get more people to watch the whole thing.

Skiray,

Whatever you decide is good for me, the product you produce is far superior to the pap that spews from the National Ski Industry Cabal.  Your ski models are real people having real fun, as your PS says, Families that ski together, stay together, good on you.

IMO, some Talking Heads in the Audio might enhance the overall experience; just sayin'.

Awesome job on the video! There are no better memories for your kids than skiing with the family. I treasure the memories I have of skiing with my brothers and father.

Funny thing RA, I keep looking at your edits - all them non-stop action -which helped changed the format a bit.

Looking forward to what you get out your trip to CO.

4-5 min is optimal for me.  When I see a video is >5 min, I tend to put off watching until "I have time" and then often never view it.

Enjoyable because there's a story line, as always.

How are you?  Its been a long while since we chatted. How is your season going?  This edit is 3:49 seconds. How did this stack up? What we are seeing is the same curve - though we are getting 68% total viewing. Most of our edits are well above 50% the curve though is the same its hard to know as we are getting way fewer view since Facebook and Youtube changed their algorithms. Anyway, thank you as always..

I'm having a pretty good season.  Have been updating my post in Harvey's Ski Day Tracking Thread.  Just finished a trip to Taos and Telluride.  My friends and I are getting addicted to Taos Ski Weeks.  Got lucky and had snowstorms at both places.  Was hoping to get to ride the Belleayre gondola but it wasn't quite ready when I was there in Dec.  Next trip out west will be Alta during late season per usual.
