Are you gaining or losing weight staying at home?

Z
This post was updated on .
A lot of folks on TV talking about gaining weight being locked up at home

What are you guys having happen ?

I weighted myself this morning and have lost 5 lbs.
I normally travel for work every other week but haven’t traveled for a month now.  That is where i gain weight.  No eating out at restaurants while at home is helping I’m sure.  We normally go out on Friday nights.
Also I’m riding the Excercise bike everyday during the WH briefing which is usually 45 mins
If I can lose another 5 I’ll be at my weight my early 30’s
if You French Fry when you should Pizza you are going to have a bad time

I’ve lost 2 lbs, but that’s in the plan - 15 more to go

Don't know.

Don't care.

I eat when I'm hungry, drink water, and do some kind of exercise every day. It has worked for my entire life, so I'm thinking it will keep working.

No ski, no soccer, no 40 to 60 minutes of walking a day to/from/around the office/NYC.....and we are cooking a lot more food at home.

I’ll check the scale again next week, but I’m sure as sh#t not losing weight!

I definitely was trending toward the upper end of my range last week. I’ve been doing a lot of pushups, sit-ups, core exercises etc and getting the other controllables in line so I think I’m probably on track. I usually step on the scale right before getting in the shower, which I haven’t done in a while, so I’m not sure where I stand now.

Yeah, 40's hit you like a freight train and you realize that you either get your act together and get in shape or you limp into middle age 25 lbs heavier LOL!  If you choose the former then the 50's are...awesome.

Well.....already today I’ve had a piece of the lemon blueberry cake with cream cheese frosting that my daughter made from scratch last night, with several cups of teh tarik (Malaysian pulled tea with sweetened condensed milk).  For good measure I had some of the Dutch Baby I made for my son, with a good heaping of fresh made  whipped cream, and a touch of maple syrup.  I just got a batch of candied macadamias and a batch of honey-chipotle candied pecans out of the oven.  When I get started on dinner (soon at this point!) it will be risotto (lots o’ butter and Parmesan!) with Tuscan Shrimp (basically a scampi with some cream and spinach).

Food has kind of become an escape, I guess?

Oh, and last night when the munchies hit....you don’t wanna know how many cheese doodles I ate.  After I had a piece of the aforementioned lemon blueberry cake with that cream cheese frosting.

Yeah, I’m not losing weight....

I’m still trying to figure this one out. Trail building doesn’t let me slow down fortunately but man, after a week like this past one I’m hurting!
