If you could ask Alex Honnold anything... what would it be?

What do you eat these days, now that the CLIF Bar supply has dried up?

I saw that Clif jersey in the trailer, that must hurt him to see it each time.

On a positive note, does Alex not look like he could be a professional cyclist if he decided he wanted to dominate another sport? Hill climbs must be easy after crushing the vertical world, right?

OK, since only ML and I are chiming in, I have another question:

Do you ever just "go climbing" anymore? You know, out at the crag with some mates, doing some fun routes, no cameras, no blogging, no worries?

EDIT: If you want to watch the full version of Sufferfest 2, along with a bunch of other fantastic mountain films, check out you local showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. More info and tour locations for 2014/15 are here.

I can tell you that Sufferefest 2 will be showing in Huntsville, Ontario, on Jan 20, with the added bonus of getting to see yours truly on stage doing MC duties. Not to be missed.

My real question is: If you rehearse the routes so you know all the moves, do you allow yourself to also have an escape plan? Or does the mere existence of an escape plan allow doubt to creep into your head, ruining any chance of a free solo attempt?

And, can you watch the films after you complete the climbs?

The first two will be in the audience, the dog, he doesn't do so well with crowds.

Doggonnit. Might as well stay home and play with kitty.
