Just saw this.. Back in March while touring Aus, Bon and I did the obligatory Sydney deal of taking the ferry to Manly (Beach .. Watched the last day of the Australian open of Surfing) anyway, while crossing Sydney Harbour the 18's were all out racing... Balls to the wall, absolutely wild to see them live and up close. They passed our Ferry on a close reach.. Others that had already turned the buoy on the downwind leg were flying substantial spinnakers .. It looked like only about a foot or so of the stern of the skiff was in the water.. I'll try to find the pics I took.
