Yup, bending away...PT going good, range of motion coming along, PT dude says I should be on stationary bike next week. Quad muscle down to nothing in left leg  so that will help get that back in shape. Glad to be back at work...all that sitting around and NOT drinking beer really cramped my style

Question for ya: what should I get with this bike I bought. I know I need a helmet, beer holder, and whatever I need to change a flat inda woods....anything else SJ????

a spare derailer hanger is a good way to limit suckage too! i also carry a few zip ties and the end of a roll of electrical tape - have used both on a few occasions(effed up cables & spokes). for flats you'll need tire levers, spare tube, pump/c02, patch kit. a wad of tp can come handy

Voice of experience and Sober Second Thought here: Camp, you are approaching the critical phase in which you are most likely to re-injure your knee because you feel fully healed and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Don't fall for it. I read somewhere that the greatest rate of re-injury for ACL patients is in the 6 to 8 month post-op range. If you had a hammy graft, it won't even be fully healed for at least 8 months.

Be careful out there. Ride your bike. Carefully.

Also a thought on post-op skis. Personally, I went for skis that were fatter, lighter, more forgiving and easier to turn. Line Sir Francis Bacon FTW!

Great advice and I’ll be adhering to it. I’ve already promised myself, my wife and my Doc that I wont do anything be4 it’s time…kinda like a fine wine, hehe. My bike riding consist of me driving my truck down tot the flats and riding on hard road, no dirt yet for me. The last thingE I want is to go backwards with this process….no more surgery for me dammmmmittttttt!!!! That sh!t hurts!!!

Campy

I agree with Sick Bird this is the most dangerous period.  I was worried when i started reading this thread and saw the mountain bike.  My knee doc made me go buy a  road bike.  Also be very careful about clipping into peddels.  My 1st two months on the bike i used city peddels withnot clip ins.  Even on the road you can encounter something that will require a quick clip out and that puts lots of stress on your new knee.

I love the keg trailer photo

Best of Luck and take it really easy
