On Saturday night my dad told me that we would be going to Belleayre. I was excited because I would get to go skiing and I could ride the new gondola and ski the new trail. My little brother had skied it on Super Bowl Sunday but I missed that trip because I had the flu. We Hit the road by 6:30. I slept for the entire ride there and we arrived around 8:45.
My dad parked in the drop-off area, got our tickets at the Overlook lodge and then parked next to the Tomahawk lift. It took him a long time to get the tickets. During the drive to the parking I noticed the lot for the overlook lodge had already overflowed into the street. We then booted up and started walking to the lift. I expected an easy walk there but instead took one step in and was suddenly waist-deep in snow. I ended up getting onto the trail after freeing my legs and crawling. Then we got skiing. We started the day with skiing down Seneca from the Tomahawk mid station for a couple runs and then went to the top and skied deer run back to the Tomahawk. There were lots of people poaching the closed trail under the lift, I guess to go after the fresh snow and a few drops in there. On the second run my younger brother (We still can't think of a screen name for him) did a 360 degree turn and wiped out in a fashion that looked like it would've gotten him a figure skating gold medal. The crowds at Tomahawk didn't seem too bad until we waited on the Deer run side instead of the Seneca side. We eventually headed to the overlook lodge and for lunch. As we traversed to the overlook lodge we noticed a large line for lift 7 because super chief was closed and had been all morning. The line to get food wasn't bad but it took some time to find a table. As we ate I posted a picture of my chicken tenders to a subreddit about chicken tenders where everyone loves Honey Mustard called r/Tendies with the caption "Honey Mustard isn't the best dipping sauce" and tagged it as "user got banned for this post". I quickly got a 60 day ban from the moderators because as he explained, "Honey Mustie is god tier". We then went down to ski off super chief because it had just opened after being closed the entire day. Of course by then Lift 7 went down. The line for Super Chief was super long so we decided not to ski it again. Somebody carved and colored a big snow-turtle at the bottom of the Super Chief. After getting back to the top we traversed down to Tomahawk and split up because I wanted to ski the new gondola but my Dad and brother thought the line would be too long. When I skied down to the Discovery Base area, the line for the gondola was long but I took the singles line and got on quickly. I saw the gondola stop three times, once right before I got on, once when I was on, and a third time as I was getting my skis from the cabin. After my one trip on the gondola I took a few more runs off of the Tomahawk and then my little brother and I called quits while our Dad got a few more runs in. We both hydrated and then climbed up a hill of snow that we didn't fall through and had a king of the hill style snowball fight. The hill was very slippery so we were always falling and the game stayed interesting. Eventually my brother thought that bringing my ski poles into the mix would be a good idea before one hit him and he slid all the way down. Our Dad came and we all left around 3:00. When we left, there were cars parked everywhere, even by the big Belleayre sign on route 28. We made a stop at the Stewart's on route 28 We got ice cream and went home. Sent from my iPad |

Nice to know that Superchief and Lift 7 are back to their tag team act of going down on busy days. Good thing that gondola is there.
And Windham's similar Doppelmayr UNI-GS model East Peak Express had some issues on Saturday.

Yeah...lines were tough but the snow was great. I was expecting a large crow on Sunday but still surprised at the amount of people and parking, but worth it and glad I got there early. I did get one great run in on Friday before the power went out though!

I agree definitely need a screen name for Junior Junior. I don't get all of this, but I still think it is funny as hell.

I'm glad I'm not the only one ---- and yep, I laughed too! Great report JR |
I believe he was banned for praising BBQ sauce. Reddit is crazy. I'll ask him to explain more fully when he's done with baseball practice

The community is a sort of a joke community where everyone posts about chicken tenders and they accept honey mustard as the only true dipping sauce. Saying that it isn't the best is sacrilege to them so they banned me. |
Sounds like those sissy's over at AZ |
Ha! Junior got his Yankees-fans Instagram blocked by the Astros a couple years ago. He was very proud of himself

I’m more of a spicy mustard guy, would that be ok on Reddit?
Good work Junior! |
Should be fine if you don't let them know, are okay with a 60 day ban, or stay away from the Tendies community but thats it. |
