Belleayre Mountain - 12/27 The Blizzard

Hope you can see the images by clicking on the link.  I couldn't get them to load here easily.  Started the trip with the other half calling me crazy but I was anxious and excited.  The drive down wasn't as bad as expected - roads were snow covered and blowing but the hype 'Blizzard' made me expect worse.  Had about a foot or so in my driveway when I snow blowed the driveway early in the morning.  Belleayre had that much or slightly more.  As soon As Darren & I hit the slopes we smiled big grins.  Powder skiing.  The day kept getting better as the sun came out.  Worked our way from left to right across the mountain. It was work to make it to some of the trails but finding the Tomahawk lift open was great.  Not crowded never a wait at the lifts but a number of other like minded people were there.  Did three straight runs down Dot Nebel highlighted my day.  Very glad we braved the weather.  My second trip to Belleayre.  Last year after the massive dump and this year after the Blizzard.  I am looking forward to another trip later this season on my birthday!

Belleayre is now at 43 inches YTD. As sad as it sounds, that's how much they had last year on MLK Day, so we're actually ahead of last season!

I don't mind at all.  Pictures were large when I loaded I was told to resize which went alright for the first one.  It wouldn't allow me to continue uploading different ones just defaulted to first again.  I was too lazy to keep going.  Everyday I hit the slopes it is a great day, but this trip will stand out for awhile!
