Many movies are missing from my collection (that I have at home) and is by no means a definite list. It's a hell of a collection, but there are huge gaps in it like some of the great Warren Miller from 20-25 years ago (or maybe it's just nostalgia - I'm thinking of Steep and Deep in particular) and many of the recent stuff from the newer generation.
My choice (tied):
- White Ectasy by Dr. Arnold Fanck (so amazing the quality of the skiing and the beautiful cinematography into one movie. It came out in 1931).
- Blizzard of AAhhhs (1988) by Greg Stump. Many not his best, some of the later movies he made might be better, but Blizzard was the first, it was a breakthrough in the genre.
There are a bunch of documentaryies that I loved, but documentaries are rarely considered the Best Ski Movie...
